    A non fiction (sad story)

This book is described whole life of Adeline, a Chinese girl. She experienced a lot of unhappy treatment from her father and stepmother (not her true mother)when she was child. However she fight to be free from them. This is not only painful one, but also hopeful.

Adeline was born in China and spent her life during a time of great change in Hong Kong. Although, she suffered terrible emotionally and physically, she was a really good student at school, so finally she could become a doctor. Then she married two times, but she didn’t always spend happy days with her husband. After that her parents who supported her for a long time died because of their own illness. Through her whole life Aunt Baba loved Adeline.

I recommend this book, as my friend said last time, because this book is written with easy English, so I could finish reading in a few days. Furthermore, this is true story in China, so I think you should try it because we Japanese are related to China these days. We can learn Chinese history a little. However, it was bit difficult for me to understand the comprehension of the family.
